Update (3:04 p.m.): Additional school districts, colleges, churches, and public institutions have announced closures and cancellations as winter weather conditions continue across North Texas.
Hazardous winter weather conditions across North Texas have prompted widespread school closures and activity cancellations, as districts, colleges, churches, and community organizations move to limit travel and reduce safety risks for students, staff, and families. While many closures are for Monday, additional cancellations or delays could still be announced as conditions evolve.
Several major independent school districts across the Dallas–Fort Worth region have now confirmed full closures for Monday, while some institutions continue to cancel weekend and after-school activities due to icy roads, freezing temperatures, and ongoing safety concerns.
