Irving Independent School District is set to host their Go Irving “Choice Expo” on Thursday, November 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for current families and prospective students.
The free event will be used to teach attendees about the school district’s many programs and thirty-eight schools. The event will feature a dual language lounge, early learning playland, and an application station where attending families can apply to Singley Academy, Singley Collegiate Academy, and South Irving Collegiate Academy, the district’s three choice schools.
Every school in the district will have a booth where students can chat with staff members. The event will also provide hands-on demonstrations for career and technical education programs showcasing the many opportunities available to middle and high school students.
There will be CPR demonstrations, first aid, and blood-pressure checks for health sciences. Other showcases in the event include simulator and robotics demonstrations for technology/robotics, drafting sessions for architecture, cooking demonstrations and samples for culinary and hospitality, and so much more.
Attendees will also have a chance to partake in one of the photo booths set up by the district and “take-home Irving ISD swag.”
The expo will be held at the Irving Convention Center, 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd.
