A coalition of pastors, parents, and education reformers launches the “Give Mama the Money Crusade” this morning at 11 a.m. at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth — aiming to turn Texas into a school choice-friendly state.
Led by Pastor Kyev Tatum, the kickoff took place during the Ministers Justice Coalition meeting and featured guests from Universal Academy in Irving, Families Empowered in Houston, and the Frederick Douglass Freedom Alliance in Washington, D.C.
According to the blog post, “This is more than a meeting—it’s the beginning of a movement. Today marks a bold step forward as we cultivate a community‑wide commitment to school choice as a transformative tool for educational justice—especially for children trapped in failing public schools.”
The campaign highlights the potential of Texas Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and charter schools to expand educational opportunity and parental empowerment.
The event streamed live today at 11:00 am on the Determined & Undeterred Podcast at newmountrose.com.
