A DeSoto school bus carrying children was involved in an accident on Monday. According to an email sent out by DeSoto Police Department Lt. G. Kirkland, no students were injured in the accident.

DeSoto PD said in a statement that the school bus was carrying six students between the ages of eight and thirteen. The bus was moving eastbound in the 1300 block of West Beltline Road when it attempted to turn north into the 100 block of Cockrell Hill Road. Kirkland said the bus got into an accident with a Ford F-150 truck as it tried to make the turn.

Kirkland said none of the students were injured but added that one of the two occupants of the Ford F-150 truck sustained a minor leg injury. The injured occupant was treated at the scene.
