Dallas ISD appears to have concealed its LGBTQ resource page after it was reported on by The Dallas Express.

The district’s “LGBTQ+ Resources for Dallas ISD & Surrounding Communities” served as a guide on how to transition genders and references specific clinics in Texas. The document, first revealed Monday by The Dallas Express, recommends schools allow usage of their restrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity and promotes books on being transgender to elementary school children.

The district made the previously public Google document private after it gained national attention.

Robyn Harris, the executive director of Dallas ISD’s communications team, previously told The Dallas Express the document was only available at the request of parents and employees of the district. It was first obtained by DX in an open records request. However, further investigation revealed the district openly promoted the document on social media and in an article on its news page.

A post on X, formerly Twitter, from 2021 advertised the guide:

“Check out our new LGBTQ+ resource guide, created by DallasISD Mental Health Services Clinicians, Devyn Box, Dianne Bippert, Dr. Poonam Dubal, and Mahoganie Gaston, Coordinator for DallasISD’s LGBTQ+ Support Services! @dallasschools,” Dallas ISD Mental Health Services posted in May 2021.

However, the district seemingly deleted the post after the publication of DX‘s story.

Dallas ISD’s promotion of the resource guide can still be seen in its 2022 LGBTQ pride article on Dallas ISD News Hub.

Harris did not respond to additional requests for comment about the Google document being made private.

Box, one of the guide’s co-authors, is a transgender social worker in Texas who provides reference letters for sex alteration surgeries.

The story on the resource document marks the latest in an investigative series by The Dallas Express that has revealed the district’s promotion of gender ideology in schools. The included an exclusive report on how Dallas ISD partnered with a Dallas-based clinic offering transgender procedures called the Resource Center for its “Out for Safe Schools” program.

The Resource Center is cited in the Dallas ISD document under the “Gender-affirming care,” “Mental Health Support,” “Youth Peer Support,” and “Medical and Health” sections.

The GENECIS transgender youth clinic in Dallas was cited as another resource for “gender-affirming care.” The clinic dissolved since Texas banned such procedures for minors.

Dallas ISD is also set to partner with a left-wing organization called Healthy Futures of Texas for an after-school sex education program, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. The group advocates against abstinence-focused sex education and opt-in parental forms for sex education in Texas.
