Kelly Neidert of the Texas Coalition for Kids said she was assaulted by an LGBTQ activist at a recent Lewisville ISD school board meeting.
Neidert tweeted a video taken at the March 4 school board meeting showing a man taking her phone, which she said he then threw in the trash. She said the incident occurred after the meeting concluded. Protesters attended the meeting to voice their concerns about a Lewisville ISD teacher who was suspended after photos and videos surfaced of him cross-dressing at his school, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.
“The guy in the video was talking to a woman sitting next to me. I’m not really sure what he was saying. He just came over and started raising his voice. So I just pulled out my phone to take a video because I was worried about what he was going to do. And he took my phone, wouldn’t give it back, threw it in the trash, and ran out,” Neidert told The Dallas Express.
Neidert said protesters from both sides were informed they could speak at the next school board meeting about the suspended teacher. She claimed that the LGBTQ protesters were disruptive before being told by officials they could be removed.
“They all stood up and started chanting, and then, after two minutes, somebody from the district came over and told them they could speak at the next meeting,” she told The Dallas Express. “And so some of them left, but most just sat down.”
“As soon as the board went into a closed session, people started to leave, and that’s when protesters came over and tried to instigate,” she claimed, adding that the incident with her phone soon followed.
Neidert acknowledged that when she tried to file a police report about the phone incident, she was told it did not rise to the level of assault.
Rachmad Tjachyadi was suspended as a teacher at Hebron High School after Libs of TikTok tweeted photos and videos of him dressed in dresses, heels, and tutus on the job.
“UNREAL. This is an actual teacher in [Lewisville ISD] named Rachmad Tjachyadi. I’m told he also sometimes shows up to teach dressed in full drag and has a f*tish for wearing women’s clothing. How is this acceptable?!” Libs of TikTok tweeted last month.
The teacher resigned earlier this week, according to The Dallas Morning News.
Neidert claimed that LGBTQ protesters tend to be disruptive at school board meetings.
“They know what they’re trying to push on kids is wrong, so there’s not even a way for them to have a rational conversation about it,” she told The Dallas Express. “They can have a right to go out there and say, ‘This is what I believe,’ but they can’t even do that. They just resort to screaming and yelling and disrupting. It’s because they don’t have a valid reason to be advocating for this.”
