Bishop Lynch High School issued the following announcement on June 24

Hundreds of rising kindergarteners through eighth-grade students are on the Bishop Lynch High School campus this month for Summer at BL. The summer fun is contagious as these campers participate in athletic, art and academic camps led by many of BL’s coaches and faculty members. Forty current BL students applied and were selected as summer camp workers. These Friars are leading campers throughout the day, including arrival, lunch and dismissal, and providing support during camp time.

In all, more than 1,500 camp registrations are booked for this year’s Summer at Bishop Lynch held June 14-July 29 – by far the largest camp numbers since the program’s founding in 2017. Kim Gunn, BL’s summer camp director, is thrilled to welcome K-8 campers back to campus.

“Summer at BL is a great way for future Friars to have an amazing time and acquire new skills all while becoming acquainted with the BL campus and getting to know BL staffulty and students. With more than 50 unique camp offerings like cheerleading, football, drones, sculpture, Lego engineering, crafts, or basketball, there’s sure to be a Summer at BL camp to fit nearly every interest,” said Mrs. Gunn.

There are still five weeks of camp to go! If you’d like to register a future Friar for a morning or afternoon session, visit www.SummeratBL.org.
