A Fort Worth H-E-B looks like a no-go for now, despite the buzz about the possibility in early June’s news. After a press release hinted that an H-E-B grocery store would serve as the anchor for Parkside at Alliance Town Center, the announcement was quickly rescinded.
Initially, a report was released by Cooksey Communications on June 8 on behalf of Hillwood, the company that operates Alliance Texas in North Fort Worth. The report stated that the well-known San Antonio-based grocery chain would open a store that would anchor an expansion to the Alliance Town Center.
Later that day, Cooksey Communication released an updated press release stating that “a major grocer” would be the anchor of the new Parkside at Alliance Town Center addition. Further, it noted that Cooksey had “inadvertently” included H-E-B in the release.
“H-E-B has not announced a store at this site nor a timeline for construction,” the agency clarified.
However, H-E-B owns the land at that location, Mallorie Anderson, a spokesperson for Cooksey, told the Fort Worth Business Press on June 9.
While an H-E-B is not promised as of yet, Mark Miller, senior vice president of retail development at Hillwood, said Torchy’s, CAVA, Black Rifle, and Dash Nail Spa would be joining the Alliance Town Center, adding to its “vibrant atmosphere.”
“Parkside at Alliance Town Center continues to be a destination for the region, and I’m excited to welcome some new additions to serve our growing community,” Miller added.
The Dallas Express contacted H-E-B for comment; however, attempts to confirm whether a store is being planned for Fort Worth were unsuccessful.
