The Cowboys’ draft plan looks simple on paper: fix the defense.
After a season that saw Dallas finish with the worst defense in franchise history, the obvious move seems to be taking the best defensive player available. But in the latest Dallas Express Sports Network segment, the crew throws a wrinkle into that thinking:
What happens if an elite offensive playmaker unexpectedly drops to Dallas?
That’s where the debate gets interesting.
The panel digs into the tension between drafting for need and taking the best player on the board, and not everyone agrees on what the Cowboys should do if that choice shows up on draft night.
If you think Dallas has to go defense no matter what — or if you’d be tempted by a game-changing offensive talent — this is a fun watch.
Watch the full segment and decide for yourself: Would you pass on defense if a star offensive player fell to the Cowboys?
