Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown says he is healthy, energized and ready to make an impact in 2026.
In the latest Camp California episode, The Dallas Express Sports Network hosts Mark Elfenbein and Bonnie-Jill Laflin sit down with Overshown at Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, California.
Overshown Ready To Bring The Energy
Overshown discusses the offseason conditioning that prepared him for camp, including running hills and completing drills designed to simulate the pace of a game.
“I feel like I’m in great shape. Starting off healthy is already a plus. So, it’s going to be a great year,” Overshown said.
The former Texas Longhorn calls himself the defense’s “Energizer Bunny” and says he wants teammates to feed off his enthusiasm as the Cowboys attempt to build something special.
Overshown credits defensive coordinator Christian Parker with putting players in positions to succeed. He says Parker’s understanding of opposing offenses makes it feel as though Dallas has an extra defender on the field.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Overshown’s return is one of the biggest storylines for a Cowboys defense rebuilt around Parker.
Health remains the central question after major knee injuries interrupted two of Overshown’s first three NFL seasons. When available, his speed, physicality and ability to create disruption give Dallas a potential difference-maker at linebacker.
Can “Agent 0” stay on the field and become the X-factor in the Cowboys’ rebuilt defense?
