The Dallas Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly assaulted two women in a road rage incident on Saturday.
The incident occurred on North Central Expressway when one of the alleged victims was driving her friend home, according to FOX 4 News.
The woman, identified as Shaudae McMillan, 29, said the man merged into her lane and “sideswiped” her vehicle. Even though her car had suffered minimal damage, she immediately pulled over and attempted to exchange information with the other driver.
“But as soon as we stepped out of the car, the driver of the car was very irate,” McMillan recounted. “He came out of the car calling us all types of names, saying we damaged his car.”
McMillan said the other driver acted very aggressively, cussing and spitting at them. He then came very close to her, she said, and became angry when she told him to move away and asked her friend to call 911.
“He got really close to me and I did like, kind of push him back…and I think what triggered him was me telling him to back up, because he was this close to my face, and me requesting that my friend call the police,” she said.
McMillan claimed this provoked the man, who apparently began to attack them. Her friend, who had gotten out her phone to call the police recorded part of the incident.
The man reportedly hit McMillan, causing her to fall to the ground, and then hit her friend, breaking her nose. After the alleged attack, the man drove away with a female passenger.
McMillan shared the video of the incident through posts on her social media accounts, which appear to have been removed since the incident, and with FOX 4. However, she clarified that she did not want the public to go after the man on her behalf, adding that she has filed a police report.
Dallas police did not provide details but revealed that they are looking for the suspect and that McMillan’s video is part of their evidence. It is unclear whether authorities will charge the man with a crime if they find him.
