The Dallas Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for one of its own officers over his alleged involvement in a pyramid promotion scheme.
Dallas PD’s Public Integrity Unit obtained an arrest warrant for Officer Reginald Jones on Friday, Oct. 1, for allegedly promoting and organizing a pyramid promotion scheme. According to CBS 11 News, the officers were accused of creating a pyramid operation where they collected cash from other officers with the promise of cash returns if they recruited more officers.
Officer Jones, who joined Dallas PD in January 2002, is currently assigned to the South Central Patrol Division.
Investigation into the scheme led to Grand Jury referrals for some Dallas PD officers, including Major David Davis, Lieutenant Giovanni Wells, Sergeant Constance Lewis, Sergeant Rachel Moore, Sergeant Latasha Moore, Senior Corporal Raquel Oliver, Officer Anthony Edmond, Officer Paul Logan, Officer Carlton Nelson, Reserve Officer Brad Deason, civilian Sonja Davis, and others.
All of the Dallas PD officers involved are assigned to the South-Central Patrol Division. They have all been placed on administrative leave pending the results of an Internal Affairs administrative investigation.
