Dallas continues to see violent crime plague its streets. Here is a report of numerous crimes that happened Saturday.

Pedestrian Run Over by Multiple Vehicles

Officers responded to a call of a man lying unresponsive in the middle of the street in the 3000 block of Lagow Street at Copeland on Saturday, April 22, at approximately 12 a.m., according to police. This area is located in District 7, overseen by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua.

The person who called 911 told police that as he was driving, he saw a man lying on the road, and as he turned around to check on the victim, two vehicles drove over the man and did not stop, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded to the scene but pronounced the man dead from his injuries.

The identity of the male is pending, and an investigation is underway.

Two 18-Year-Olds Shot on Emmett Street and Shasta Avenue

Dallas police are investigating a homicide that took place on Saturday at about 12:50 a.m., according to a news release.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Emmett Street, located in District 1, which is represented by Dallas City Council Member Chad West.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an 18-year-old male had been shot several times, police said.

He was taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police found another 18-year-old male lying in a nearby parking lot in the 1200 block of Shasta Avenue and identified him as Brian Caballero. He was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Caballero was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also discovered a third teen was shot and taken to a local hospital via a private vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing and will be referred to a grand jury.

Shooting at Buckner Boulevard and John West Road

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital and has another man on the run.

Officers responded to the shooting call Saturday at 4:25 a.m. at Buckner Boulevard and John West Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a shooting victim.

Police said the suspect that shot the unidentified man is known to the victim in some capacity.

Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene.

Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

The suspect is at large and an investigation is ongoing.

The shooting occurred in District 7, represented by Council Member Bazaldua.

Woman Found Dead in Field

A woman was found dead in an open field Saturday, according to police.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Santa Fe Avenue at about 7:40 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman lying unresponsive in a field.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s cause of death has not yet been determined and her identity is not being released pending family notification.

Dallas police said they are investigating the woman’s death as a homicide.

The victim’s body was found in District 4, which is represented by Dallas City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn King Arnold.

According to the Dallas police crime analytics dashboard, there have been 90 murders this year in Dallas, up more than 20% from the same period last year.
