The City of Dallas continues to see violent crime plague its streets, as the first leg of the weekend saw multiple homicides.

Here is the weekend crime report.

Man Killed on Lagow St.:

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead.

Officers responded to a shooting call Friday afternoon, May 19, at approximately 3:34 p.m., according to a news release.

Police were called to the 2900 block of Lagow St., which is located in District 7.

District 7 is represented by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua, who has been the subject of The Dallas Express Crime Boss Series multiple times.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

Police identified the man as 31-year-old Stanley Dunbar. He had been shot at the scene, according to police.

Dallas Fire-Rescue was called to the scene to help provide medical attention.

When they arrived at the scene, they transported Dunbar to an area hospital, where he died from his injury, according to police.

Police have not named a suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Man Shot on Southern Blvd.:

Dallas police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person dead.

Officers responded to a shooting call by Dallas Fire-Rescue early Saturday morning, May 20, at 1:10 a.m., according to police.

Police responded to the request by Dallas Fire and Rescue in the 5300 block of Southern Blvd., police said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man lying unresponsive.

Officers found the man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. According to police, the man died at the scene.

Police have not named a suspect in the case.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting took place in District 11, which is represented by Dallas City Council Member Jaynie Schultz.

Woman Killed on Malcolm X Blvd.:

Dallas police are investigating another early morning shooting that happened just five minutes apart from another shooting.

This shooting also left one person dead.

Police responded to a shooting call early Saturday morning, May 20, at approximately 1:15 a.m., according to a news release.

Police responded to the shooting call in the 4600 block of S. Malcolm X Blvd.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman had been shot at the scene, police said.

She was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle, where she died from her injuries, according to police.

Police have not yet released the name of the victim pending family notification.

Police have also not named a suspect in the woman’s death.

It remains an ongoing investigation.

The shooting took place in District 7, represented by Dallas City Council Member Adam Bazaldua.

The shooting at S. Malcolm X Blvd. and the shooting that occurred on Lagow St. both occurred in Bazaldua’s district, just blocks away from each other.

As of May 1, there have been 95 murders, according to the Dallas Police Department Crime Brief.

Due to the alleged ransomware attack on citywide services, there are no publicly available statistics beyond May 1.
