A Waco babysitter was sentenced Friday to 80 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
Kevin Duane Pridemore, 41, received 960 months in prison on three charges in federal court in Waco, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Justin R. Simmons said.
U.S. District Judge Alan D. Albright imposed consecutive terms and ordered Pridemore to pay $207,000 in restitution, according to details reported in a DOJ press release.
“While nothing makes up for the harm caused by this defendant, the 80-year sentence handed down by Judge Albright highlights the egregious nature of the abuse in this case,” Simmons said.
Pridemore’s activity on a child exploitation website prompted law enforcement to search his home on March 24, 2025. The search uncovered evidence that he produced and possessed child sexual abuse material involving young children.
A forensic review revealed tens of thousands of illicit images and videos, including those with prepubescent children, infants, and toddlers.
Authorities identified multiple victims whom Pridemore abused and recorded while babysitting them at different times.
Pridemore was indicted on April 8, 2025. Prosecutors added charges on November 24, 2025, including two counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession. He pleaded guilty to all three.
Albright sentenced Pridemore to 360 months on each production charge and 240 months on each possession charge, all consecutive.
The FBI led the investigation. Acting FBI San Antonio Special Agent in Charge Alex Doran described the case as a “profound abuse of trust,” saying that Pridemore “exploited his position as a babysitter to harm the very children he was entrusted to protect.”
“The FBI has zero tolerance for those who commit these heinous crimes against children,” Doran said.
