On Tuesday, April 5, City of Dallas workers found a body in a field in East Oak Cliff.
The body was discovered by water utility workers at 2630 52nd Street, near East Ledbetter Drive. Officers who arrived on the scene determined the victim died of “homicidal violence.” The victim was described as an adult black male.
Dallas Police are currently investigating and have not determined a motive or the death’s circumstances. The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct forensic tests to determine the victim’s identity.
