A shootout occurred after a fight broke out outside a business on May 29, Dallas police said.

Officers responded to a call on Laureland Road, close to RL Thornton Freeway, just after 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, responding officers found two people with gunshot wounds.

A third person had reportedly been injured fleeing the scene.

The shooting happened after a disturbance broke out among a large group of people in the parking lot, according to investigators.

The two wounded individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment. They were in critical condition.

As of Tuesday, May 31, the condition of the gunshot victims, whose identities have not yet been released, is not known.

Officers have not identified any suspects or made any arrests. However, they say the case remains under investigation.
