On Sunday morning, a tragic series of events unfolded in Fort Worth and Dallas, leading to multiple fatalities in two separate incidents.
In Fort Worth, a devastating wrong-way crash on Northwest Loop 820 near Marine Creek Lake claimed the lives of several individuals, reported Fox 4 KDFW.
The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. when a vehicle traveled in the wrong direction and collided with another vehicle.
The impact caused a fire and resulted in entrapment. Five people died as a result of the crash. One person was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Shortly thereafter, Dallas Police responded to a fatal crash at the intersection of N. Masters Dr. and Elam Rd. in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood around 5 a.m.
The collision involved a box truck and a red sports car, reported Fox 4.
According to police reports, two occupants of the sports car died as a result of the crash. The sports car, traveling eastbound on Elam Rd., crashed into the northbound box truck, resulting in the vehicle going underneath the truck’s structure.
Both incidents are still under investigation as police seek to uncover more details.
