A 33-year-old Honduran man, Jose Antonio Marquina-Bonilla, was arrested Sunday in Dallas on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a young child and sexual abuse of a child under 14, Grapevine police announced.

Marquina-Bonilla, recently added to Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List, now faces an immigration hold.

Grapevine police issued a warrant for Marquina-Bonilla on June 16, following allegations he sexually abused his live-in girlfriend’s juvenile daughter. According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the victim was taken to a hospital in June for abdominal pain, where doctors discovered she was approximately five months pregnant.

The girl reported to investigators that Marquina-Bonilla had been sneaking into her room weekly for about a year, stating that she “did not want to have sexual intercourse with him but felt compelled to do what he said,” Fox 4 KDFW reported.

Marquina-Bonilla, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds, has a history of deportations. U.S. Customs and Border Protection encountered him in Arizona in 2016, leading to his deportation. In October 2023, he was arrested by Grapevine police for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, convicted, and deported again by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement the following month. Authorities believe he returned to Texas and began abusing the child in November 2024.

Texas Crime Stoppers had offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his arrest, guaranteeing anonymity for tipsters, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

Funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, the program has facilitated the arrest of 40 fugitives in 2025, including 14 sex offenders and 10 criminal illegal immigrants, with $28,000 paid in rewards.

Marquina-Bonilla is currently held in Dallas County Jail. Authorities did not disclose details about what led to his capture.
