Former acting ICE director and current Border Czar Tom Homan is strongly condemning the recent leak of sensitive information about an ICE operation, warning that such disclosures endanger law enforcement officers and undermine national security.

Homan asserted that the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security are actively investigating the leak, which he suspects originated within the FBI.

“We think we’ve identified that person,” Homan told Fox News, referring to a leak in Aurora, Colorado, that allegedly allowed members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to evade capture. Federal agents encountered mostly empty apartments and buildings during the operation, resulting in about 30 arrests instead of the expected larger sweep.

Homan said he’d spoken to Justice Department leadership about the probe into the leaker.

“They have promised that not only this person lose their job and lose their pension, they will go to jail,” he told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also weighed in, criticizing the FBI’s handling of the matter.

She labeled the agency “corrupt” and vowed to take action against individuals responsible for compromising ICE operations. “We will work across agencies to stop these leaks and ensure accountability,” Noem stated.

Attorney General Pam Bondi echoed these concerns, emphasizing that leaks put the lives of ICE agents at risk.

“Leaking classified operational details is a betrayal of law enforcement and national security,” Bondi said. She warned that those responsible could face termination, loss of pensions, and prison time.

Investigations into the leak continue as ICE bolsters enforcement efforts.

Homan warned that future leaks could result in deadly consequences. “It’s only a matter of time before we walk into an ambush,” he said.

“This is not a game.”
