Three men have been killed in separate shootings during the first five days of July, continuing a troubling trend of violence in Dallas.

The most recent homicide occurred around 3 a.m. on July 5 in the 5500 block of Pick Fair Circle. Officers responded to a shooting call and discovered a man had been shot at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

Police have not released the victim’s identity. The case is being investigated under case number 095374-2025. A grand jury referral will be submitted to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Two earlier shootings also remain under investigation.

On July 1, officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of W. Camp Wisdom Road around 3:50 p.m. Police say 43-year-old Rashonda Lowe shot 53-year-old Jaime Rokkett. Rokkett was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Lowe later turned herself in to Arlington police and was taken into custody by Dallas officers. She was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a murder charge. That case is documented under case number 093451-2025. Detective Joshua Conklin is handling the investigation.

In another case, a man was found shot inside a vehicle early July 4 in the 9400 block of Bruton Road. Officers arrived at the scene around 12:15 a.m. and found the victim wounded in the driver’s seat. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.

His identity has not yet been released. No suspects have been named, and police have not disclosed a motive. That case is being investigated under number 094784-2025 by Detective Guy Curtis.

All three investigations remain active, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
