Texas authorities have intensified their search for a Honduran national wanted for aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault, offering a $6,000 reward for information leading to his arrest this month. Robert Bustrillo-Vasquiez, 33, appears on September’s Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrant list as the Featured Fugitive.
Bexar County authorities have sought Bustrillo-Vasquiez since August 11 on charges of aggravated kidnapping with bodily injury or sexual abuse, aggravated sexual assault, and human smuggling. The 5-foot-6-inch suspect weighs about 155 pounds and has a distinctive tattoo on his inner right forearm.
His criminal history spans 15 years of deportations and reentries. Federal records show deportations dating to 2010, with the most recent in February 2018.
Courts sentenced Bustrillo-Vasquiez to federal prison for felony reentry after deportation. Austin police arrested him multiple times in 2013 and 2014 for assault charges.
Authorities believe he maintains connections to San Antonio and Austin. The Texas Department of Public Safety urges anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-TIPS.
People can also submit tips through the DPS website or Facebook page. Tipsters remain anonymous and receive identification numbers instead of providing names.
The Governor’s Public Safety Office funded the reward program, which has paid $37,000 in 2025 for tips leading to 48 arrests. These include 17 sex offenders and 12 individuals on the criminal immigrant list.
DPS investigators work with local agencies to select fugitives for the state’s most wanted lists. The increased September reward aims to generate fresh leads in the month-old case.
