Three teenagers who escaped from a juvenile detention center in Louisiana have been arrested in Texas. Shortly before 7 a.m. on May 14, an official on the day shift noticed that the three were missing.
The escapees included a 15-year-old and two 17-year-olds. Their names have not been released. Before their escape, the teens were being held on charges that included armed robbery and murder. Now, they will face additional charges related to the alleged escape.
The juveniles were apprehended on May 15 in Houston alongside a security guard who allegedly helped them escape.
According to the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office, the guard, 21-year-old Victoria Tune, was seen on surveillance video driving the teenagers away from the detention center.
The Sheriff’s office said that Tune would also face charges related to the escape. It is not known if Tune has legal representation.
