Teen Passenger Fatally Shot Inside Car in West Dallas

A teenager died after being shot in a car in Dallas and taken to an Irving hospital on Thursday morning, reported The Dallas Morning News.

At about 11:40 a.m. on May 5, police were called to a hospital in Irving after multiple men dropped off 17-year-old Jorge Hernandez. Hernandez was accompanied by a 19-year-old witness whose identity was not released.

Hernandez was seated in the front passenger seat of a car when he was shot by a man in the back seat, according to police. The incident allegedly occurred in the 10200 block of North Walton Walker Boulevard in West Dallas.

An investigation is underway to determine the motive for the shooting.
