Police have identified the one remaining suspect in the murder of pawn shop owner Daniel White on Valentine’s Day.

Police said White was shot on Valentine’s Day around 9 a.m. in his store, Lewisville Pawn. Police said three armed men entered his store wearing black jackets and blue jeans, per WFAA News.

Reportedly, the men attempted to rob the store, and one of the men shot White in the chest. Police have not specified who they believe pulled the trigger, per Fox 4 News. The group of men then drove to Dallas in a red Ford Escape.

JaTevon Johnson, 18, was arrested in Dallas by the Lewisville Police Department on February 25, per NBC 5 DFW. Johnson is being held in custody on a murder charge and has a bond of $1 million.

Denyrion Skinner, 17, turned himself in on Tuesday and was booked in jail on a murder charge, per WFAA News. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

The Lewisville Police Department released wanted posters for Damonta Skinner, 19, in connection with the murder. Police said they believe he remains in the South Dallas area.

“Speak up. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if you know them or overheard something,” said White’s wife, Yolanda, per WFAA News. “Stand up and do the right thing because that’s what Daniel would’ve done.”

This incident comes on the heels of a high-crime year for the metroplex. Dallas has seen an 8.57% rise from 2022 in reported firearm murders, with the Dallas Police Department logging 38 such incidents so far in 2023.
