(Texas Scorecard) – After being arrested for recording minors in dressing rooms, Taylor Roy was released on bond—only to face a second round of charges related to making invasive recordings of minors.

Roy, 31, a former security guard at The Woodlands Mall and a tennis coach for children ages 8 to 17, has now been arrested and charged with invasive visual recording in Galveston County.

Texas Scorecard previously reported on Roy in January, when he faced similar charges in Montgomery County. During that earlier investigation, authorities discovered numerous photos and videos Roy had taken of girls at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and The Woodlands Mall.

While the girls were fully clothed, the videos frequently focused inappropriately on their genital areas. Investigators also found footage of girls undressing inside a Forever 21 dressing room.

According to Galveston Police, a report was filed on April 19 alleging that a man had been taking photos of an underage girl on the beach.

The girl’s family said a bystander alerted them that someone was photographing their daughter while they were enjoying the beach. The family provided police with images of the suspect, who was quickly identified as Taylor Roy.

A warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued.

Despite already being charged in Montgomery County with invasive recording of a child and indecency with a child by exposure, Roy was released from jail on a $30,000 bond, allowing him to allegedly commit further offenses in another county.

In the current Galveston case, his recommended bond is $75,000, though it has not yet been officially set.

In a statement released during the announcement of his arrest, the Galveston Police Department said, “While Galveston police were investigating his actions on the beach, they learned that Roy had been previously charged with similar crimes in Montgomery County, Texas in 2024. Investigators from both agencies are working together to assist one another in their respective cases.”
