Authorities charged the suspect responsible for a shooting at a gas station in Rowlett with murder, CBS 11 News reports.
On March 30, Rowlett police received a report of a shooting at the Valero gas station located at Lakeview Parkway and Scenic Drive around 5:30 p.m.
According to police, an individual sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The victim died two days later, on April 1, due to the injuries.
The suspect police arrested in connection with the shooting was initially charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Upon the victim’s death, authorities increased the charge to murder.
Police have not released the victim’s identity or officially released the suspect’s name.
