Dallas police arrested a 63-year-old man Saturday afternoon after a vehicle pursuit that began during an attempted traffic stop in South Dallas and ended near Interstate 35, authorities said.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were called to assist with an arrest on December 27, 2025, after attempting to stop a vehicle driven by Nathaniel Sparks. During the attempted traffic stop, Sparks allegedly fled, prompting officers to pursue.
The chase ended near Interstate 35 between E. Eighth Street and E. Colorado Boulevard. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Sparks was taken into custody and later booked into the Dallas County Jail on Saturday. Police said investigators are still determining the specific charges related to the pursuit.
The investigation remains ongoing.
