Fort Worth police have revealed the identities of a suspect and one victim in a stabbing fight. The early Monday incident occurred between roommates at a group home and ended with one dead.

Around 1:28 a.m. on the morning of July 4, police were called to the 2400 block of Shropshire Street, as reported by The Dallas Express.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers found one of the roommates with multiple stab wounds. He had been fatally stabbed in the neck; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the man as 59-year-old Jimmy Scott.

A second victim was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds and released. His identity is unknown.

A third person was later taken into custody in connection to the incident. Police say that after the incident, Dwane Perkins, 42, attempted to drink bug repellent and a cleaning solution. He then called 911.

Perkins was first treated at a hospital before officers booked him on the morning of July 4.

Police said that a domestic dispute led to the stabbing, but the details of what transpired between Perkins and the victims are still unknown. The case is under ongoing investigation.
