The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning in South Dallas — the sixth fatal killing in the city since June 9.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 12:25 a.m. on June 15, 2025, in the 200 block of South Hall Street. Upon arrival, officers found 32-year-old Jose Rodriguez-Lucio unresponsive. Dallas Fire-Rescue attempted lifesaving measures, but Rodriguez-Lucio died at the scene.
The case is being investigated under incident number 084934-2025. Authorities say it will be referred to a Grand Jury for further review.

Homicides Reported in Dallas Since June 9
The fatal South Hall Street shooting marks the sixth homicide in Dallas in the past week. The following incidents have also been reported by the Dallas Police Department:

June 13 – A victim was shot and killed in the 1800 block of East Shore Circle. A known suspect was arrested at the scene. Case #: 084106-2025

June 15 – Jose Rodriguez-Lucio (32) was fatally shot on South Hall Street. Case #: 084934-2025
Police have not indicated whether any of the incidents are connected. Several cases remain open, and detectives continue to urge the public to come forward with any tips.
