A 33-year-old man died after being shot Monday afternoon in Dallas, police said.

Brandon Brown was shot around 1:25 p.m. in the 9600 block of Clark Road in Southwest Dallas. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died, the DPD Beat reported on November 25.

Dallas police responded to the shooting call and launched an investigation. They have not released any information about a suspect or a motive for the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective J. Conklin at 214-671-3646 or [email protected].

The case is being documented under #169064-2025.

The shooting marks the 11th homicide this month and the 127th this year in Dallas, per the City’s Crime Analytics dashboard, as violent crime continues to impact neighborhoods across the metroplex.

Three separate shooting incidents over the weekend claimed the lives of three people and injured multiple others, as The Dallas Express reported.

The Dallas Police Department’s efforts to combat violent crime continue to be hampered by a chronic shortage of police officers, and the City has yet to meet the standards mandated by Dallas voters through Proposition U, passed last year. The measure requires the City to maintain a police force of 4,000 sworn officers and to provide the force with a pay and benefits package that ranks among the top five in the metroplex for cities with populations over 50,000.
