Several Hospitalized After Local Shooting

Several people were injured following an apparent altercation near the east side of Fort Worth Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to a shooting call around 1:30 p.m. on September 27. The call was from a condominium complex at 6020 Stoneybrook Drive, just north of the Eastside Library.

According to the call log, a 911 caller reported a man was shot, and a MedStar official reported that another man was also wounded. Later, police reported that a third victim was found with a broken leg.

The man who was shot was left in critical condition, while the second man was seriously wounded, according to authorities. The person who broke their leg reportedly did so by jumping off of a balcony.

Two other people who were hospitalized were deemed as suspects and detained, according to Fort Worth police. Police did not specify the reason for the suspects’ hospitalization.

Police said that there are no other suspects at large. Gun Violence Unit detectives are further investigating the shooting.

Fort Worth has seen a 7.2% increase in Crimes Against Persons, according to its Crime Report for the second quarter of 2022. A total of 4,125 offenses were reported as compared to 3,847 reports in the second quarter of 2021.
