Dallas Police are searching for a suspect who they say shot and killed another driver on a freeway, according to a press release on the Dallas Police blog page.

The victim identified as 59-year-old Rudy Marshall was shot through the passenger side of his vehicle while traveling westbound on the freeway from the suspect vehicle’s driver’s side.

The fatal shooting occurred on Friday, September 23 at around 5:17 p.m. according to police.

The incident took place in the 1000 block of CF Hawn Freeway.

A preliminary investigation by detectives believes a driver traveling northbound in the left-hand lane of 175, approaching the intersection for I-20 when another driver shot the victim.

The victim stopped on the freeway and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Homicide detectives believe that the fatal shooting happened during a road rage incident, and say the unknown suspect shot into the victim’s vehicle.

DPD said the suspect vehicle was described as a small, gray car.

The investigation is ongoing.

It’s sad to hear something like this. People please pay attention, If a person is in a rush, tailgating, driving erratic or anything, just let them go. It’s those type of people that will get into some form of collision and you do not want to be anywhere near them. People should set there pride aside or whatever and just let those reckless drivers go. Do the right thing and take down there plate number and vehicle description then phone 911. You might save a life!

This was my cousin. What isnt being said is that his 10 year old son was in the back seat .His bravery helped in giving info of the subjects of his dads killers. This is devestating to all of us. He left a wife and children . Its a sad time when people think its ok to shoot others for pleasure or whatever reason they think they have. His son has to live with this for the rest of his life. Dont think it cant happen to you. It happens.
