It’s been more than four years since Prisma Reyes vanished on April 17, 2019, and the investigation by the Mesquite Police Department has come to a standstill.

Reyes, then 26, was supposed to pick up her son from his babysitter but never did. She drove a 2017 white Jeep Wrangler, according to police.

A 911 call was placed about Reyes, and Mesquite police responded.

She was last seen with her ex-boyfriend in Dallas, in the 1900 block of Haskell Avenue. The pair were eating lunch together at the E-Bar Tex-Mex Restaurant in the area, according to police.

Reyes was on a lunch break from her job at a car dealership in Mesquite.

On April 18, 2022, a year ago today, Mesquite Police Detective Dustin Barrett spoke to local news outlet WFAA Dallas about the case.

“We have them on camera during that. He leaves and she goes back inside the E-Bar,” Barrett recounted.

Reyes stayed at the location for another three hours but apparently became upset because the bartender refused to serve her any more drinks, per WFAA. When the bartender refused her more drinks, she left the location and headed toward Mesquite, according to phone geolocation records.

She turned around and drove back to Dallas, reportedly getting into a road rage incident in the process, according to police.

Three witnesses told the Dallas Police Department that a woman in a white Jeep waved a gun at them. They gave Dallas police a description of the woman’s vehicle and license plate number.

Surveillance video shown to WFAA by Barrett shows Reyes arriving at the Olympus Apartments on Ross, where her ex-boyfriend lived.

“So, she runs through the gate and then goes to stand by the elevator,” said Barrett.

“We spoke to everyone on her phone records list that she called leading up to her disappearance, and all of them tell us she sounds upset,” Barrett added.

Reyes was last seen stumbling out of view of a camera at the apartments, now called Macallan on Ross.

Mesquite police have since ruled out Reyes’ ex-boyfriend as a suspect.

The Dallas Police Department located Reyes’ white Jeep inside the parking garage. The gun that was reportedly used in the road rage incident was found inside the vehicle.

Reyes’ disappearance remains a mystery four years later.
