Police are seeking a suspect after one person was injured in what a preliminary investigation by police has deemed an apparent road-rage shooting Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Central Expressway near the Midpark Road overpass, as reported by NBC DFW.
The victim was hospitalized and is in stable condition, and no other injuries were reported in the incident. The shooter is unknown, police said.
The victim’s black Mazda sedan was seen stopped in a southbound lane of the expressway, with a bullet hole visible in the driver’s side window. A handicapped placard was hanging from the rearview mirror.
The incident is still under investigation, and police have not released any details about the victim or what led to the shooting incident.
Traffic was reduced to two lanes as police assessed the crime scene, causing a backup of traffic stretching back toward Arapaho Road.
Police encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact the Dallas Police Department.
