The victim’s black Mazda sedan was seen stopped in a southbound lane of the expressway, with a bullet hole visible in the driver’s side window. A handicapped placard was hanging from the rearview mirror.

The incident is still under investigation, and police have not released any details about the victim or what led to the shooting incident.

Traffic was reduced to two lanes as police assessed the crime scene, causing a backup of traffic stretching back toward Arapaho Road.

Police encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact the Dallas Police Department.
