Police Searching For Hit-and-Run Suspect

A pedestrian is dead, and police are searching for a vehicle after a hit and run on Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m. on July 8, the suspect was traveling in a vehicle northbound in the 13400 block of Esperanza Drive in Dallas. The vehicle struck a pedestrian, Dallas Police Department stated, resulting in their death.

The vehicle pictured above is the one police are searching for. It appears to be a gold or silver Chevrolet or GMC SUV.

After striking the pedestrian, police said, the driver did not stop to render aid, instead, fleeing the scene.

Dallas Police Department said the vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound along Midpark Road.

Detectives with the Vehicle Crimes Unit are investigating the incident and need the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.
