Two men were shot and one was fatally wounded in a Dallas neighborhood on Friday evening according to a Dallas Police Department news release.

On December 9, at about 6:15 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at 9300 Beck Avenue.

Officers arrived on the scene to discover a 17-year-old male shot once in the leg.

While Dallas police were investigating the first shooting and attending to the 17-year-old victim, another call came through 911 for another shooting.

The second shooting occurred at East R.L. Thornton Freeway and East Grand Avenue police said.

Police responded to the call and found the second victim, identified as McKambrey Perkins, 19, who had been shot.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to both calls.

Perkins and the 17-year-old were both transported to a nearby hospital, though Perkins later died from his injuries.

Officers were later able to determine that both victims were shot during the incident on Beck Avenue and identify suspects.

The identification of the suspects helped lead to the arrest of four individuals.

Dallas police arrested 18-year-old Rene Sharpee, 18-year-old Seth James, 17-year-old Dillard Freeney Jr., and 17-year-old Angel Villanueva in connection with the incident, and charged them with murder and aggravated assault.

There is a fifth suspect that Dallas police are currently trying to identify, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information called into Crime Stoppers that leads to the arrest and indictment for this and other felony offenses. Call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477), 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
