Police Find Woman’s Body in Car After Attempted Robbery

Hutchins Police discovered a woman’s body in a getaway vehicle after officers pursued three suspects following a robbery at a Motel 6 on Thursday.

Around 11 a.m. on April 21, officers received a phone call regarding a possible robbery at the motel located at the 100 block of Interstate 45, near Dowdy Ferry Road.

Three people hopped out of the car near the intersection of Stagecoach Trail and Maxine Drive after a brief chase and attempted to flee on foot.

One of the three people who fled was apprehended, while the other two are still at large.

When authorities returned to the vehicle, they found an unidentified woman face down and unresponsive on the car floor. The woman was declared deceased. Neither her identity nor her cause of death has been revealed.

An investigation is ongoing. No details regarding charges have been released at this time.
