One teenage girl has died, and another was injured after a shooting at an apartment building, CBS News reported.
Police were called to the Parks at Cliff Creek Apartments at 7310 Marvin D. Love Service Rd. at approximately 8:39 a.m. on July 16.
They discovered two girls, aged 16 and 17, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to the hospital, where the 16-year-old succumbed to her injuries. The second teen remains hospitalized but is in stable condition.
Police determined the incident actually took place in the Mandalay Palms Apartments at 7501 Chesterfield Dr. It is unclear how the two came to be at the Parks at Cliff Creek Apartments.
The investigation is still ongoing to determine a motive and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
