When Fort Worth police responded to a shooting call in southwest Fort Worth on Tuesday, they found two gunshot victims: a man and his girlfriend. Both were taken to a local hospital, where the man later died.

An investigation determined that the suspect and the male victim knew each other. She had allegedly assaulted and stolen jewelry from JaMarlon Clardy, 45, three days before. She had reportedly hit him with a shovel in that robbery.

Earlier Tuesday, the robber called and told Clardy he could go to her home at 5515 Goodman Ave. to retrieve his jewelry. When he arrived with his girlfriend at about 6:20 p.m., she shot at both of them.

Clardy was shot in the chest multiple times. The police disclosed neither the identity nor the injuries sustained by his girlfriend.

FWPD has not yet confirmed the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the deceased victim. The woman was in custody as homicide detectives were investigating the killing.
