An Oklahoma man is accused of firing a homemade flamethrower at Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputies who were serving an eviction order at an apartment, sending a stream of flames about 15 feet toward one of the officers.
The incident happened around noon on August 11 when deputies went to the apartment to serve the eviction order. Authorities said the occupant, identified as 61-year-old Darron Dunn, barricaded himself inside the residence.
Deputies forced their way through the barricaded door and entered the apartment. According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, Dunn then discharged a makeshift flamethrower toward a deputy.
The deputy was not injured.
