A teenage suspect wanted for multiple robberies across North Texas was arrested on Thursday following a coordinated law enforcement sweep.
Kamarian White, 17, faces aggravated robbery charges in four jurisdictions and is linked to a homicide.
The arrest marks an early success for Operation Clean Sweep, a new multi-agency initiative targeting violent offenders. The operation demonstrates how coordinated efforts between local and federal agencies can quickly locate suspects with extensive criminal histories.
Dallas Police and U.S. Marshals launched the operation on Wednesday to develop a system to track robbery suspects in the greater Dallas area. Task force members located White in Mesquite within 24 hours.
White faces four aggravated robbery counts in Dallas, two in Mesquite, and one in Wilmer.
The Texas Department of Public Safety also wants him for a homicide during an attempted aggravated robbery.
His arrest required coordination between four different law enforcement agencies.
Operation Clean Sweep will continue through March, officials said. Additional arrests are expected as the task force pursues other violent offenders identified through their tracking system.
