Authorities recovered 14 stolen vehicles and three stolen engines during a North Texas auto theft investigation that led to the arrest of a suspect on two felony charges.
Detectives with the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force worked with Garland police, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI to execute search warrants at two properties, according to a task force social media post.
Authorities also recovered a skid steer during the searches, the station reported.
The report did not identify the suspect or specify the felony charges. Authorities had not disclosed the locations of the two properties. The task force continues to investigate.
The North Texas Auto Theft Task Force investigates vehicle theft, vehicle burglaries and vehicle fraud across Dallas, Denton, Collin, Rockwall and Kaufman counties, as well as Corsicana, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.
The task force also participated in a separate August 28, 2025, operation in Dallas and Barry, as The Dallas Express previously reported. Officers recovered seven vehicles reported stolen in that earlier investigation and seized two others with obscured vehicle identification numbers for further examination.
