Motorcycle Driver Charged With Murder

After a motorcyclist was shot and killed last Sunday afternoon by another man on a motorcycle, the man accused of the crime is under arrest and facing a murder charge.

Azle police officers and firefighters were called to a crash with possible shots fired in the 1400 block of State Highway 199 on July 31.

Brian K. Turner, 43, was found when they arrived. He was injured and lying on the road. Turner was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Worth, where he died of his injuries.

Police said Turner was on a motorcycle when another man on a motorcycle shot him. The suspect they arrested has allegedly been identified as Anthony Bennett, 27.

Bennett is being held on a $100,000 bond and facing a murder charge. His motive is, as of yet, unknown.

The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident. No further details were released.
