According to authorities, a man was shot and wounded by police in North Richland Hills on Sunday following a family disturbance.

On April 24, officers arrived at the 4200 block of Keeter Drive around 8:15 p.m. following a shooting call. A woman called the police and said shots were fired inside the home.

Police said the caller “gave indications that there was an active family disturbance occurring.”

When police arrived on the scene, a man allegedly aimed a firearm at them as they approached the residence. Two responding officers discharged their guns, striking the man.

According to North Richland Hills police spokesman Justin Smith, the unidentified man was transported to a hospital in stable condition after suffering “multiple injuries.”

The suspect could be charged with deadly conduct and aggravated assault of a public servant.
