The Dallas Police Department (DPD) found a dead body inside a car in East Dallas Monday night.

DPD said the body was discovered by neighbors from nearby Ferguson Road and Kingswood Drive, who called 911. They reportedly saw a body slumped inside a black Mercedes.

Police said the victim was shot to death.

Police have not released the victim’s identity.

Currently, police do not have a suspect or motive. However, detectives are reviewing nearby security footage to try to determine more about what happened to the victim.

DPD representatives told The Dallas Express that there is no additional information at this time.

This unsolved murder occurred in Councilmember Adam Bazaldua’s District 7 and is part of a rising trend of crime in 2022, as The Dallas Express continues to report. Dallas’ December Crime Boss of the Month is Councilmember Jesse Moreno, who represents District 2.

Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Adam Thayer at 214-671-3657 or email [email protected].
