Police arrested a man from North Richland Hills on Thursday for allegedly barricading himself in a home with other individuals and firing a gun.

On May 5, officers received a call about a man who had fired a gun multiple times inside a residence. Officers responded to the scene at the 7800 block of Mockingbird Lane at about 1:30 p.m.

The other individuals inside the house were able to leave safely.

According to police, a SWAT team was brought in to negotiate with the man. After “careful negotiations,” the man surrendered and exited the home, where he was arrested and charged with deadly conduct.

Police did not release the identity of the man. No other information is available at this time.
