A Fort Worth man allegedly stabbed two people, killing one, before telling police he ingested a cleaning solution.

Fort Worth police went to the 2400 block of Shropshire Street, near Berry Street, in the early hours of Monday morning in response to a stabbing call.

When they arrived, they found a deceased adult, who had apparently passed away due to stab wounds. They also found another victim with non-life-threatening injuries.

After investigation, detectives determined that an adult male allegedly attacked the victims without provocation and then fled the scene.

Sometime after officers made contact with the victims, the suspect contacted police and informed them that he had ingested a cleaning solution. His reasons for doing so are unclear, as are his motivations for the stabbing.

Officers found the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect’s name has not been released, and no further information is available at this time.
