Irving police have arrested a man who they believe sexually assaulted multiple underage boys at an apartment complex over more than a decade.
Jose Aguado Robles, 41, is accused of sexually assaulting young Hispanic boys between ages 9 and 12 when he lived at the Agave at Willow Creek Apartments, formerly known as the Tanner Place Apartments. Police say he allegedly committed the sexual assaults between 2008 and 2022.
The investigation began after a 10-year-old boy alleged that Robles sexually abused him while the man’s daughter babysat the boy in Robles’ home. Police said the victim was 9 years old at the time of the abuse.
Police spokesman Robert Reeves said investigators are speaking with two other men, aged 22 and 23, who allege Robles also abused them in the past. The 23-year-old said he was about 9 years old when he was abused in 2008.
Reeves further said that there is a possibility that Robles’ alleged crimes began earlier than 2008, saying he probably did not suddenly begin victimizing people in his 30s.
“He probably started much younger than that,” Reeves said.
Robles now faces a charge of indecency with a child. More charges could follow, including continuous sexual abuse of a child and aggravated sexual assault.
In a bid to determine if there are other possible victims, police encouraged those who had contact with Robles at the apartment complex to talk to their children.
“If you lived in this area, knew someone in your family and friends who lived off of Willow Creek in this apartment complex between 2008 and 2022, especially young men, have those conversations,” said Reeves.
Robles is currently being held in the Irving City Jail. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
